mission & goals

It's hard for me to explain the mission of this project, because I don't know what will come of it. I do know, however, that I want and need a place to keep track of who's doing good in the world and how I can help support that. And, eventually, to figure out where I fall into place among it all.

If you know me, you should expect that these entries might be confusing at times. They could be long winded, jumping from one point to the next and back again. That's my process for figuring stuff out. Thanks in advance for bearing with me.

Goals:
  1. To only speak of hope, inspiration, and love. The news is filled with desperation - I want to challenge that norm.
  2. To track my own journey of finding my true passion in life. Where I live, who I love, and what I "do" will naturally follow.
  3. To become a resource for finding the "good stuff" out there. See: emily's favorites
[Good stuff, to me, can include stories of thoughtfulness, travel, socially conscious businesses, photography, books, thoughtful videos, art, etc.]
  4. To welcome criticism, and grow from that.
  5. To become confident in my writing (and my thoughts).
  6. And, with any luck at all, maybe inspire another person or two.

(Check out a little glimpse of my inspiration in my first post: Excuses)
